Other biological materials
In addition to blood and organs, we mean by “other biological materials” any fluid or organic compound having a role in animal physiology and pathophysiology or derived from its metabolism.
These fluids can be used in various fields because their composition is a reflection of the general activity of the animal or organs from which it is derived. The analysis of its composition, physico-chemical characteristics, the items they carry are all usable information for the researcher.
• Amniotic fluid
• Cerebrospinal fluid
For waste (urine, feces), the sampling is performed in metabolic cages
For milk, the collection consists of milking females
The amniotic fluid is removed by aspiration
The cerebrospinal fluid is collected by puncture at the base of the skull
Freezing with liquid nitrogen (-80°C)
Conservation in different solutions (paraformaldehyde, RNA Later, others ...)
Custom sample protocols on request
Shipping in carboglace, redreeze or at room temperature.
